Memorandum of Understanding
Church Missions Fundraising
Date: (Your fundraiser start date)
VOLUME 1 • ISSUE 2
Purpose of the MOU

This memorandum outlines what MCV Laic Press (Publisher) requests of your mission fundraiser. It also states what resources are provided by the Publisher to maximize book distribution and thereby your proceeds as the Church Missions Fundraiser (CMF). And finally, it acts as a good-faith-agreement between the CMF and the Publisher.
A. Church Missions Fundraising
-
Church bookstores, libraries, and committees can purchase the Trilogy as fundraisers. All proceeds from book sales are to be designated for local or foreign mission work as determined by that church.
-
The upcoming MCV Trilogy Book Club series, with Leader Guides (4 to 6-week durations), can be purchased by a club (optional) for monthly evening-studies either independently or as a missions fundraising team (CMF). Individual Sunday school classes, or two or more classes that pool their resources, can purchase this upcoming series (optional) as a missions fundraising team (CMF).
-
The greatest impact of fundraising is that hearts and lives are changed through the distribution of His word, and thereby, through His sanctifying work.
-
Being a self-publisher, church mission fundraising is our main distribution method for these Bible-study reference books.
-
Thereby, when a church organization orders this Trilogy, they are both directly impacting and encouraging their own members for a lifetime while supporting their worldwide Christian ministry budget at the same time; i.e., the financial support of local mission projects, foreign missionaries and their work, and the establishing of new churches.

B. Fundraiser Registration
-
Your CMF representative completes the registration form.
-
Registration means you have read this MOU and agree to the conditions set forth.
-
A unique CMF number is assigned using your fundraiser start date.
-
Upon completion of CMF registration and email approval, the Publisher will advance the following starter package per the CMF‘s fundraising start date designated on the registration form. When setting your start date, allow the Publisher fourteen (14) days for shipping the starter package:
-
One advanced carton of twelve books for promoting your fundraiser
-
Thirty-six (36) Advance Book Information cards (bookmarks)
-
A news release will be sent via email for your church bulletins and newsletters
-
A promotional PDF flyer will also be sent via email to be copied as needed
-
The Publisher’s book-order-form which indicates the CMF agreed cost and selling price per book as stated below, and your designated fundraising start date. Use this form as a worksheet for ordering online when your promotional time has been completed (60 days maximum). The minimum order is your starter package—one carton of 12 books. To reduce shipping costs, please order in units of 12 (one carton).

C. Cost/ Selling Price/ Proceeds
-
Your CMF team agrees to purchase the advance starter package of twelve books as a minimum, or one carton, thereby reducing shipping costs per book
-
$37.03 cost per book delivered when ordering a full carton of twelve books
-
$47.50 CMF selling price per book delivered (same website delivered purchase price for any customer with a tax-exemption, 3.22.2024).
-

-
$47.50 CMF selling price per book

The Publisher requests that your CMF team orders full cartons only, reducing shipping costs per book, unless you are using Option-A pricing
-
Selling, using, or gifting of surplus books after your initial fundraiser:
-
Display surplus books in your church library or at other events and sell to members over an extended period of time
-
Keep some of these reference books in your library for Sunday school teachers to check out when preparing lessons
-
Encourage all members to check them out regularly from your library as Bible study-aids
- Gift books during mission trips or other special church events
-
Sell or gift surplus books to a nearby sister church that can be hand-delivered
-
Additional shipping costs of returning surplus books only hinders our ability to gift more books. We appreciate your adherence to this request.

D. Ordering Books (when your promotional time has been completed)
-
Because you have a tax exemption, DO NOT order through the shopping cart, see below.
-
The minimum order is your starter package—one carton of 12 books. To reduce shipping costs per book, please order in units of 12 (one carton).
-
Go to the website footer page and click on "CMF Order" button. Referencing the starter package book-order-form worksheet, enter your book event information and desired payment option to start the shipping and invoicing process.
-
Your order is then processed and shipped.
-
An invoice will be issued, for either payment option selected, documenting your tax exempt purchase.
-
Because you are purchasing according to a set MOU agreement, check payment can be made at any time during the course of book ordering. Credit card payment is made after an invoice is received with its instructions.
E. Electronic Books/ eBook PDF: WHEN AVAILABLE, purchase of licensed eBook PDFs by the CMF team is optional. The electronic version can be used as a visual-aid for groups of people in a meeting or study. The cost is $7.00 per license and for each purchased the church will receive three (3) additional licensed eBook PDFs. The church decides how the electronic versions will be distributed, i.e., sold to church members. As an example, the church buys one license for $7.00 and sells the additional three for $7.00 each, with the proceeds being 21.00-7.00 cost = $14.00 for mission funds. Each CMF is limited to purchasing one electronic license per one carton of softcover books sold.

F. Terms and Conditions: Pricing is for Book One, A Bible Study Primer, and is valid for 90 days from the CMF’s designated fundraising start date. Payment must be postmarked or received prior to the 90-day expiration date. These terms do not apply to eBook PDF purchases. The Publisher reserves the right to update this Memorandum of Understanding at any time in the future. Any updates will not affect fundraisers that are already in progress.
